The BCCC exists to provide a friendly, relaxed forum for people doing business between Britain and Croatia. Our intention is to work to promote and increase trade between the two countries and to organise events which provide useful and informative advice about Croatia and the conditions which apply for those wishing to do business there. We invite senior members of government and the Croatian administration to give talks explaining government policy, to our members and guests, when they visit the UK. We also organise specific events which may be of interest to members, such as symposiums relating to specific Croatian industries, for example shipping and banking. In October 2005 a Property Seminar was held at the London Capital Club which gave members the opportunity to collect information on property and construction matters in Croatia. Last years events also included the visit of H.E. Stipe Mesic, the President of Croatia, for which the BCCC organised a lunch at the Innholders Hall, London, during which guests had the opportunity to debate and ask questions of the President on various issues. The BCCC is currently organising a number of events for 2006, including a meeting with the Croatian Prime Minister, Ivo Sanader, during his official visit to London, a seminar on the financial issues of doing business with Croatia, and the launch of the latest publication on Croatian economy and trade opportunities. In addition, the BCCC holds regular members evenings which often include the opportunity to sample Croatian wines and delicacies. An Annual Dinner is also held at the end of every year, when a prominent guest speaker is invited. We are keen to increase our membership and also our funds so that the BCCC can undertake a more ambitious event and seminar programme, as well as funding business scholarships for young Croatians who wish to undertake practical training with British Companies. To find our more information on how to become a memeber, please view our membership page.
